which includes: providing supervision of the staff members in area, ensuring proper maintenance of
the area, developing educational and social programs which meet the needs of the community, and
serving as a referral resource. The report to the Office of the Dean of Student/Residence Life
Office. |

| Main Job Responsibilities |
- Administration
- Assist in the opening & closing of residential halls.
- Inform all residents of rules, regulations and policies.
- Ensure that all residents comply with stated policies.
- Community Development
- Spend an adequate amount of time in the living area to deal with group and individual student concerns.
- Orient first-year students to University life.
- Serve as a positive role model by adhering to all rules, regulations and policies.
- Program Development
- Display an enthusiastic attitude toward Resident Staff goals, ideals, and obligations.
- Attend and participate in all Resident Staff Orientation programs, training sessions, and activities.
- Counseling & Referral
- Act as a concerned, non-judgmental peer advisor, whose goal is to assist residents in resolving concerns or problems.
- Act as a referral for resident, utilizing community and University resources.
