Ethnic meals and various programs are planned and shared in all houses. |

| Academic Major/Interest Housing |
Mosaic House, part of the International Residential College, houses 40 students,
one of which is a Resident Assistsant. This house was student-initiated and reflects the University's commitment to cross-cultural understanding and respect.
Internally, it seeks to provide diverse cultural opportunities, both formal and informal, and externally, it seeks to provide the University with a center from which the mosaic of cultural diversity can be viewed. The house has a student governing board, responsible for internal programming, community outreach, and application process. |
| Other |
The Lawn. The Lawn is a part of the University's original Academical Village. There are 55 rooms available, most with fireplaces, and furnished with period furniture, featuring a bed, rocking chair and desk. The rooms have sinks in them, but students must trek across the lawn to use bathrooms. A student committee is selected by faculty and staff to organize the selections of residents for the Lawn, each year. The Organizing Committee advertises criteria (such as GPA, community/univeristy participation, etc.) and receives applications. Over a hundred applications are screened by this student committee and 55 students are selected for this honor. A Head Resident is selected also. Several additional lawn rooms are endowed and residents are either selected by a committee of faculty, staff and students, or may live there because of a special title they hold (Student Council President).
The rooms on The Range are the same, but do not open up to the Lawn. Recently a Range resdient suggested that a Range Council of students be formed and the Council would select residents to live on the Range, with a process similar to the Lawn Selection. The purpose of the new initiative is to define and reinforce an active community of graduate students. |

3. We have a comprehensive Reward and Recognition Program for our employees, through which they may earn days off, cash or other awards.
4. We have self-contained Houskeeping and Maintenance
5. We have a Project Manager for oversight of our major construction and other such projects..
6. As mentioned previously, we have a Faculty/Staff operation. |
| Additional Comments/Clarifications |
The Housing Division and the Office of Residence Life are under two different Vice Presidents. However, both VP's report to the University's Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. The ORL is not an auxiliary. |
