Office Structure	Our department is both housing (facilities) and residence life. We have our own maintenance and housekeeping staffs, operating independently from campus facilities management.
Occupancy	3,826 Undergraduate Housing Capacity 168 Graduate Housing 14 Residence Halls Avg. Double Room Rate Per Semester: $1,717 Avg. Apt Room Rate Per Semester: $3,270
Available Housing Options	Undergraduate--Traditional, Suites, Apartments, Co-ed Graduate--Traditional, Apartments, Co-ed Three of our apartment buildings are on 12-month leases.
Privatized Housing	Two apartment buildings were built by JPI and are owned by the VCU Real Estate Foundation. We operate them as residence halls and maintain them. A third apartment building we master lease from a private management company. They provide maintenance however.
Special Interest Housing	Alcohol Free	All freshmen halls are "dry"
	Residential Colleges	Honors Residential College, currently all 1st year students. The Honors Program and seminar rooms are all located within the residence hall. Requires good standing with the Honors program and additional assignment lottery.
	Honors Housing	See above. There is an additional "living/learning" center just opening up this fall which incorporates upperclass students.
	Academic Major/Interest Housing	Engineering floors in a traditional first year hall. Approved by School of Engineering.
