The Virginia Association of College and University Housing Officers (VACUHO) is dedicated to the education and professional development of housing and residence life staff at institutions of higher education in Virginia.
The Virginia Association of College and University Housing Officers will be a model organization dedicated to learning, inclusiveness, and a spirit of collegiality so that our members will provide the best experience for their residents.
What We Do
In support of the mission of VACUHO, the organization provides professional development opportunities for student and professional staff. VACUHO organizes an annual Student Leadership Conference held each November at a host institution, as well as an annual Drive-In Conference in July for professional staff. VACUHO also co-sponsors the Virginia Student Services Conference each November, which serves as the annual business meeting. The organization provides scholarships for select conferences to members within the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Institutions and members are encouraged to attend or host quarterly meetings for the organization, serve on various committees, host and attend conferences, and join the organization’s ListServ for job postings, announcements, and benchmarking information. For more information about how to get involved, please contact the President, Danny Lee (firstname.lastname@example.org)
